Initial evaluation: The initial evaluation will take about an hour. Expect to spend most of this time just talking about whatever you feel is most important to you. If time permits, we will also talk about past history, family history, coping styles, and relationship issues. As Dr. Wyant and you work on these issues together, treatment options will also be discussed.

Private Practice Philosophy: Dr. Wyant maintains a modern practice of psychiatry and psychotherapy with an “old-fashioned” philosophy by focusing on the needs of her patients rather than on those of their insurance companies. Insurance companies often require highly personalized information as a condition for payment. Dr. Wyant believes that this lack of privacy can compromise the trust developed with the doctor-patient relationship. Therefore, she does not accept insurance plans, nor does she file insurance claims.  However, she can provide you with a receipt as an out-of-network provider that you can submit to your insurance provider. She cannot promise you reimbursement, so please check with your insurance carrier. Payment is due at your appointment, cash, checks, or credit cards are accepted.
